Perception Is Reality

Perception is reality.

If you love a photograph is the fact they used HDR or heavy photoshop in creating it make it less or more artistic and of value or is it being deceitful to the viewer?

If you listen to a song and love it. Are you less impressed if you are told that the pitch of the singers sound is digitally enhanced? Does it devalue the song?

I think the argument is a waste of time. In creating art use all the tools of the trade. If it sounds great it is. If it looks great it is.

What do you think?

I totally agree – the result is the prize, not the process of getting there!

The art is a gift. The process is just tools.
People who eat a great meal care less about the tools.
People who read a great story can care less about how the words got penned.

It’s the art that matters, not the tools.
